My Little Pony Episode 1

The two first episodes is a linked story. The episodes is one of the best intro i have ever seen to a series. It's a very simple intro that explains what the series is all about. I liked it especially because of that.

The first episode is all about introducing the main characters and the world to the viewer. It shows you the personality to all of the main characters, and how they got to know each other.

The Plot: In the first episode Twilight Sparkle reads about a legend of a evil pony called Night Mare Moon that will return on the longest day in a thousand years. That shockingly is on that day. Twilight panics and decides to write a letter to her faithful teacher Princess Celestia. Then after sending the letter to Celestia, Twilight gets a responding letter that ask her to go out and make some friends instead of reading all alone in her library. Then Twilight is sent out to Ponyville to check for the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration (that celebrates the longest day of the year and when the sun is brought up by Princess Celestia). While doing this Twilight meets all the other main ponies of the story. Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. After checking that all the preparations are complete the all wait for the Summer Sun Celebration to begin.

The Characters:

Twilight Sparkle: Twilight Sparkle is a female unicorn pony that is specialized in magic. Twilight is the faithful apprentice to Princess Celestia. She is a typical bookworm with no friends that just sits in her library all day. Trough the episode she get to know the other ponies in the series. Her cutie mark is a big star surrounded with five smaller stars.

Applejack: Applejack is a female earth pony that lives in Ponyville. Her job is to care and harvest all the food in her farm Apple Acres in Ponyville. Her cutie mark is three apples.

Rarity: Rarity is a female unicorn pony. She is a typical girly pony that never does any dirty work. She owns the only dress shop in Ponyville, and she is a designer. Her cutie mark is three diamonds.

Rainbow Dash: Rainbow Dash is a female Pegasus pony that controls the weather in Ponyville. Her cutie mark is a cloud with a rainbow lightning shooting out of it.

Fluttershy:  Fluttershy is a female Pegasus pony that takes care of all the animals in Ponyville. She is a very shy pony that don't want to be in others way. her cutie mark is three butterflies.

Pinkie Pie: Pinkie Pie is a female earth pony that is in charge of all the parties in Ponyville. Her cutie mark is three balloons.

Music: There is no singing in this episode but it has very interesting background music.

Personal meanings: I think the first episode is a great episode. It has a interesting and exiting story, and explains the characters really well.
